The Restaurant Experience

Last Friday, we had a blast with seven of our favorite people at my favorite restaurant in Town Center, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro for my sister’s 25th (and coincidently, my 22nd birthday!) There, we indulged in my favorite dishes (you’re not gonna cook it, but you’ll order it from Zanzibar!) Lettuce Wraps, Crispy Honey Chicken, and Almond and Cashew Chicken.

Though it’s always busy, I love the restaurant because of the low-light, muted yellows, and earth-toned browns in the ambiance. The atmosphere encourages the three important things you need when you’re out having an awesome time: good conversation, superior food, and light drinks (to consume in heavy amounts)! The food is excellent and the waitstaff is courteous and fun. Meals come in battalion-sized portion and are served family style so everyone gets a serving-size from each dish to sample and fill up on. The consequences of being unfamiliar with the family-style of P.F. Chang’s result in single orders of this:

Gianormous Bowl of Soup

(Please note that the gianormous bowl of soup is not illustrated to scale. It is bigger than your head!!) Though Iris (hereby known as, “The Soup Nazi”) offered, nobody was willing to help her with that huge bowl of soup, not to mention, we all ordered family-sized dishes for ourselves…. When the Escobar sisters get together, we have the tendency to throw the “family-style” mantras out the window.

  1. Glad I got to see what all the “hype” was about. Good place and gud fud. Funny is this week I’ve heard 4 people say that is their favorite restaurant.
