dog

She peed on my favorite rug (it really tied the room together) so I should actually call her Woo, but I’m in need of a sweet name to fit her playful personality. My pitbull/lab mix has beautiful midnight black coat with snow white patches on the tips of her little paws and a splotch of white marking all over her chest. She already knows how to sit, lay down, shake, and rollover. She’s loyal and maintains her position by my side. I don’t think she even needs a leash, but I like to play on the safe side. She’s already headed down the path to be a Mama’s girl.

She has only been home a few hours and she’s already captured my heart!! She is quite the character! She’s energetic, quiet, loving, sweet, and lavishes in attention. She came to our home from a couple who found her near their South Carolina residence. They said that someone abandoned her so they took her in until they could find her a good home. My amazing boyfriend brought her home as the PERFECT gift for my 23rd birthday and I definitely have come to love him more for bringing me this long-desired present!

The name above is tentative. I like it, but I don’t think the boyfriend does. Any suggestions? Click the jump for a small image gallery

Update: Per usual, the name is made up of Star Wars References. Callista Ming was a survivor of the Great Jedi Purge and her spirit form became intimately involved with Luke Skywalker. Kallistas is also a mining territory in the Star Wars Outer Rim region. Mara Jade is Luke Skywalker’s now-deceased (I apologize for the spoiler there) wife. Kotor is the acronym for “Knights of the Old Republic.” The boyfriend says we’re going to put Yoda ears on her for Halloween.
