It will be ten years before we see snow like this.
Sunday, January 31st, 2010Snow is beautiful to look at and even more fun to play in. It doesn’t snow here often, but every five years or so, we get a good solid snowfall that sticks. This “Blizzard of 2010″ happens to be my son’s first snow. In order to make this the most fun and memorable first snow ever, we packed in the fun snow activities! Here are some pictures.

It was cold enough for icicles to form on top of the house. The bushes even had some really neat ones hanging from them. These two found that icicles resemble lightsabers. Boys will be boys.

Every winter of my son’s life I had been looking forward to building a snowman with him, but we only got the powdery stuff this year. It makes snowmen hard to build and my boy wasn’t interested in working with the snow!

He did, however, find snowball fighting entertaining!

I built a snowman anyway.

Johnny made me a snowman to make me happy.
